Legal Singularity designates the point at which law itself reaches a systemic threshold.

Introduction

Legal Singularity describes a fundamental transformation of law under conditions of exponential technological acceleration. It marks the moment at which classical legal systems—especially international law—reach their structural limits and can no longer operate as effective normative frameworks.

This transformation is not ideological, political, or aspirational.

It is systemic, structural, and inevitable once global technological systems exceed the functional capacity of plural, territorial, and consent-based legal orders.

Legal Singularity is the juridical counterpart to Technological Singularity and the governance model of Electric Technocracy.

The Classical Legal Order and Its Structural Assumptions

Modern law, and particularly international law, presupposes a world defined by:

• A plurality of sovereign legal subjects

• Territorial jurisdiction

• Horizontal coordination between states
